His mom died of kidney failure when Ian Thomas was just eight years old and a year later when Thomas was nine, his dad died from a heart attack…

Thomas’ 19-year old brother at the time, Farmer Thomas, ended up raising Ian Thomas….No mom and no dad and even battling those odds, Thomas didn’t turn out too bad…

Selected in the Fourth Round of the NFL Draft by the Carolina Panthers, some are saying Thomas might be stepping up like an Antonio Gates, the former San Diego Chargers tight end that was coached by Norv Turner, Gates’ coach with the Chargers and now the man that will be leading Thomas and the Panthers’ new offense, as the Carolina Panthers’ OC….

Things seem to be looking up for Ian Thomas and the Carolina Panthers and now we will have to wait and see how all of this good news carries over to the football field, this Fall at Bank of America Stadium and on the road with the Carolina Panthers…
