HPU Men’s Lacrosse:Asher Nolting Garners USILA All-America Recognition

HIGH POINT, N.C. – High Point University men’s lacrosse freshman Asher Nolting has been named to the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) All-America Honorable Mention Team, the association announced on Thursday.

Nolting joins Dan Lomas – a three-time USILA Honorable Mention selection – as the second player in HPU history to earn the distinction. This award comes on the heels of Nolting becoming the first player to win the Southern Conference’s Offensive Player of the Year award and Freshman of the Year award in the same season.

The Greenwood Village, Colo. native is the first player in HPU and SoCon history to record a 30-goal, 30-assist campaign and broke both the school and league single-season point record with 66. Similarly, his 4.71 points per game was the highest single-season average by a Panther.

Rated by NCAA.com as the No. 3 freshman in the nation, Nolting ranks eighth nationally in assists per game and 11th in points per outing. He led all freshmen nationally in both categories and was sixth among freshmen in goals per contest.

Nolting is the only Southern Conference student-athlete on any of the USILA All-America lists.
