Virginia Tech quarterback Josh Jackson was expected to be one of the top quarterbacks in the ACC this season. Now his status with the program is in doubt.
Jackson’s dad, Fred, told the Richmond Times-Dispatch his son is still a member of the team, but his future was up in the air.
“As of right now, Josh is still a member of the Virginia Tech football team,” Fred Jackson said. “We’ll know more in two days. It’s too early to talk about this.”
He did not specify the reason for the unsettled situation.
A report from the Roanoke Times said the matter involved an academic situation, but specified Jackson had not been suspended from the team.

*****This would be one of those times where former Dudley High School quarterback Hendon Hooker would need to be ready and you have to feel he would and will be ready, if his number is called….Hooker left spring camp for the VA Tech Hokies as the #3 QB on the Hokies’ depth chart, but with the way Hooker studies and prepares for the games, he might be the right man, to step right in there and take over under center, if necessary…This story will continue to build, so stay tuned and if you see Hendon Hooker, tell him to hang in there, his opportunity may closer than he thinks….*****
