The Holland Auto Care Middle School Football Schedule sees rain and storms in Guilford County:Clemson QB Bryant transferring and Tigers’ Coach Dabo Swinney says, “This is not Middle School”!!!

Coming in from NG Parent:
Northern Guilford Middle 6, Jamestown Middle 6
Game called early in 2nd qtr. new date tbd
Jamestown-Northern Guilford will finish Monday at 5:30 with the score 6-6 7:54 in the 2nd quarter…

Coming in from Allen Jay Prep vs. Ferndale Middle School game:
Allen Jay Prep vs. Ferndale Middle was postponed with a little over 5 minutes to go in the 1st quarter. Ferndale 14 Allen Jay 0
It was a late start due to down markers not out before game time.
Ferndale is (2-0) for this week/season and we think Allen Jay sits at (1-1)…(That is if this becomes an official game.)
Update from Allen Jay Prep All Star:
It is not an official game. Only 2 minutes were played in the Allen Jay/Ferndale game. Game did not kickoff til 5:35 not cause of field not being ready. Ferndale didn’t get on the field til 5:11 and went through a full warm-up. Refs knew storm was coming so they didn’t rush anything. I’m sure if kickoff would have happened at 5 like its scheduled then it would have been an official game!

Coming in from Northwest Guilford Middle:
Final-Northwest Middle 22, Mendenhall Middle 0, GAME OVER AT halftime due to Lighting. And that was good for Mendenhall, they had all they could handle from Northwest tonight. Offensively Northwest went right thru them led by Bristol Carter, 2 TD’s, and Carson Shelton’s 1 TD pass over the middle. Defensively NW only gave up one Mendenhall 1st down in the first half. It could have been ugly with NW pounding on the Mendenhall defense, as NW has two great QB’s.

Rain and storms in Guilford County and the Kiser vs. Swann Middle School game was halted and sent into a DELAY, due to rain and mainly due to the threat of lightning, as lightning was seen/detected around 6:15, just as the two teams were heading into the halftime break, and Swann Middle had run out to a 24-0 lead over Kiser Middle at Halftime, at Marion Kirby Stadium, on the Page Pirates’ campus…24-0 Swann and with the Lightning Delay, followed by heavy rain and the Lightning Delay with a 30-minute installment/wait, most did not see this game resuming today/tonight, and that in essence would make this contest end, with a Final Score of:Swann Middle 24, Kiser Middle 0
Right now we are seeing Swann at (1-1) and Kiser at (0-1)…Kiser minus Travis Shaw(now at Grimsley HS playing football) and Jackson Noble(now at the Greensboro Day School playing basketball) and you can tell a noticeable difference in the Kiser Tigers’ offense, with both Shaw and Noble having moved up and on into high school….

If you have other Middle School scores send them our way, and we saw what we think was the Mendenhall Middle School Mustangs’ bus headed back down East Cone Blvd., on an early return trip from Northwest Middle School, at around 6:45pm….Several of our games were either delayed, halted or postponed this afternoon…..

We hope to have some JV Games that will be on tomorrow/Thursday’s schedule/slate up here later on tonight for you, if we can get Dabo Swinney to help shift us into high school gear mode……

  1. Here is what Dabo Swinney was saying today about his QB Kelly Bryant, who has decided to transfer away from the Clemson Tigers, after being demoted to the #2 QB for Clemson…

Here is Coach Swinney on Bryant:

“He(Bryant) won the job, and he was the starter for us last year and did a great job, and he came out of camp slightly ahead, and so he continued to start these first four games, but I definitely feel he’s been given a fair shot. But at the end of the day, this is not middle school. There’s tough decisions that have to be made at this level, and you gotta do what’s best for the team.”

  2. We have some rain floating around the town/county/area, so these storms might have a bearing on how our Guilford County Middle School football games turn out today…

Let us know if have any scores or partial scores from our Wednesday afternoon games….

    Thanks,

    AD

  3. This is really cool but the big fight is happening Friday night when Page & East Forsyth lock horns! People be sleeping on Page but I’m telling you Page might beat East by 3 scores. East Forsyth is rolling on this fake hype train. They haven’t played a team with a winning record. Page is battle tested.

  4. You are exactly right about Page-East Forsyth….This will be a real battle and like you were saying there will be fireworks before, during and after the game, but we will leave it to the players on the field and let them settle this one and there should not be any hate, just good respect for each other and may the best team on that given Friday night win…

You have to hope both teams will be at full-strength/100% and the kids will decide this game on Friday night at Marion Kirby Stadium and when the game is over, it will be time to be getting ready for the next one….

How does everyone rate these TOP GAMES for this Friday, is it:

    East Forsyth at Page #1
    Southwest Guilford at Dudley #2
and Northeast Guilford at Northern Guilford #3….Or do we have the order incorrect???

Let us know and all we have to say is,
“Go to the Games this Friday”………

  7. Ni idea why this even imcluded in the topic but fine. Dabo is right kids come in work hard and earn it. Play the talent regardless of age size year etc.
Do what is needed to give the team the best chance of winning.
