HPU WSOC: Women’s Soccer Adds MTSU Transfer Alexandra Palmer

HIGH POINT, N.C. – After signing eight in the November window, High Point University women’s soccer continues a successful recruiting campaign with the addition of Middle Tennessee State transfer Alexandra Palmer. The forward is Head Coach Brandi Fontaine’s ninth commit of the current signing period, and the second striker to announce for High Point since the commitment period started last month.

A native of Colorado Springs, Palmer originally signed with the Blue Raiders before making 17 appearances for MTSU in her freshman year. Collecting a total of 26 caps at the college level thus far, Palmer was also a three-time All-Conference selection during her high school career, in addition to earning All-State recognition in 2016.

“We are really excited that Alex will be joining our program this spring,” said Fontaine. “We believe she is a great fit for us both on and off the field, and look forward to seeing the impact that she will make.”

Returning almost 80 percent of their point production from 2018, the Panthers’ incoming striker will add to an already stout offensive group, joining rising senior Alex Denny and Big South Freshman of the Year Skyler Prillaman. The Panthers will be building off the 20th straight postseason appearance they made in 2018, looking for their ninth Big South championship in 11 years.
