East Forsyth scored 18 of the game’s first 21 points over the first six minutes and advanced into the finals of the Pepsi Bracket in the Frank Spencer Holiday Classic with a 57-42 win over North Forsyth in the Lawrence Joel Memorial Coliseum in Winston-Salem.

The Eagles won their fifth game in their last six starts (including a 10-point victory at North Forsyth two weeks ago) behind a dominant start by sophomore center Zyun Reeves, who scored 12 of his 18 points early.

Reeves also grabbed seven rebounds & blocked four shots to help East advance to a Spencer Finals for the second straight season against the winner of the other Pepsi Bracket semifinal game between Atkins and Mount Airy tomorrow night at the Joel Coliseum.

East Forsyth never trailed in the contest and led by as many as 21 points behind patient offense & relentless pressure against the Vikings, who were led by Kedrick Hickman’s 13 points and eight rebounds.

Senior guard Savon Brintley led all scorers with 21 points while Khaliq McCummings added 11 points and a game-high nine rebounds. Senior guard Jimmy Nichols did not score but contributed seven assists & four steals.
