RJ Reynolds sprinted out to an early 11-point lead in the game’s first four minutes & cruised to a 79-49 win over visiting East Forsyth in Winston-Salem Wednesday night. The dominant Demons dealt the Eagles their worst loss of the season & their third in a row after winning 11 of 12 through early January.

RJR led by 19 at the half (38-19) but expanded its lead to as many as 30 points three different times in the final two quarters behind balanced scoring & an immense rebounding advantage (45-21) for the game, including six offensive rebounds for field goals.

East’s Khaliq McCummings led all scorers with 20 points. Devin Ingram paced the winners, now leading the Central Piedmont 4A Conference standings, with 18 points & was one of four Demons with at least six rebounds including Mysta Goodloe & Caden Davis who added 13 points each for RJR.

The Eagles return home Friday for a conference game against West Forsyth while Reynolds travels to Davie County for a battle of CPC leaders.
