++++++++++We talked to SEG head coach Rachel Clark, plus SEG’s Kristen Roberts, Kennedi Simmons and Raven Preston in the post game interviews and you catch those now on GreensboroSports Radio….Game running and interviews on the way, at GreensboroSports Radio…That kid Kristen Roberts has a smile that wont’t quit, Simmons is very excited about the win and says the team can not let up now….Raven is just a young kid enjoying this wild ride and all four agreed that SEG had to come out quick and hit Hunt before the Wilson Hunt Warriors knew what hit them…Gas pedal to the floor and all out/all in, with the Falcons’ speed and quickness….Balls being poked loose on defense, running down loose balls, being first to loose/free balls and getting to the basket in a hurry when necessary and when not, hitting the wide-open three’s and making them count…SEG never let up tonight and time for celebration tonight, and then back to work on Monday, in preparation for the Jacksonville Cardinals, on Tuesday…….++++++++++

  1. Am I the only who thinks it’s too early to start putting Fancourt at another job when he just finished his season, not fair to him or his players. Great season for the Storm. By the way I’m not a Southern Guilford fan but think we should use good judgment when throwing people’s names out there.

  2. I would not have even brought the idea up at all until the season was over for Southern Guilford….This will become an old topic next week and I wish both SG and Coach Fancourt the best…I have not even said he is going, I am just saying if he was interested, he could land this job…

He was an assistant at Grimsley and a former Grimsley player, so he knows the 4-A feeling…We can all say this is a basket of apples and oranges, but it is not…There is a difference between the 4-A and the 3-A basketball level and it would be nice to see any coach move up…

If you wait around for the Grimsley job, that might keep you waiting a while, but if there is another 4-A job available, I think you have to look at it…

Coach Brown left Southern Guilford for the chance to go up from the 3-A level to the 4-A level…I can’t blame him for that at all…

I’m just saying it is not a major topic, it is an idea and we can’t just sit around and wait for what’s happening next, sometimes we have to bring up ideas and share our thoughts…

The coaches are the leaders, here at sites like these, we are just trying to keep a few fires burning and share a few ideas and once in a blue moon, we might be right….

  3. Unfortunately high school programs have to get someone in place quickly.
If the AD waits too long then other schools will try and entice players away from the school without a coach to come to their school.
Not supposed to happen but it does.
And now that you have charter schools where, somehow, players are allowed to reclassify when transferring in it is even more important to get a coach in place.

  4. I tell you something else about Coach Fancourt…He has the swagger/swag…He has the Beverly Hills 90210 working in the 336/2019…

Tell us more about Junior Braswell….Where does he coach now, and where has he coached???

I still say that SEG-Hunt girls game is one of the wilder games that I have seen in a while…It was like Hunt never got on the bus back in Wilson, and SEG took full advantage of the situation and never let them even think about getting into game, and that is exactly what SEG should have been doing and they did….

One crazy parts is it looked like Hunt never had any intentions of being in that game, and you should have seen the looks on the faces of the Hunt players during that game…It was almost like they had a spat on the bus on the way to the game or before they got to bus and there were some bad emotions on that Wilson Hunt Warriors team going around that gym at SEG on Saturday night…

SEG did the right thing…You catch a team in a situation like that and “leave no doubt”….SEG took them out early and that is the objective…

Mission Accomplished for Saturday and now all remaining teams must turn their attention to Tuesday and Round Four…

We have Four teams left for Round Four….Four from Guilford County to carry on, to carry on…SWG boys, NWG girls, Ragsdale girls and SEG girls…

  5. John Braswell was a standout at Page early 90’s played under Mac Morris standout at Appalachian St runs a successful Aau program in Durham I believe. Not saying he’s interested just have the qualities to become a great high school coach.
