Local Football and Basketball Players get College Offers during the past week

Over the past week, Travis Shaw(Grimsley HS) has received college football offers from Duke University and LSU…Travis is a sophomore for the Grimsley Whirlies and he stands at 6’6 and weighs around 315…Going to make some school/college a next top prospect….Probably will have a front row seat somewhere for that LSU-Alabama game, this Saturday afternoon…Shaw is also a talented high school basketball player and should be ready to help with Coach Darren Corbett’s Whirlie post problems/troubles/complications this 2019-2020 season…I would say Travis Shaw has at least 50 college football offers laying on the table right now…At least 30 of the 50 are from the Super 5 Conferences…

Jurriente Davis, formerly of Dudley High School, and recently of Hutchinson Junior College in Kansas, has an offer in hand to attend and play college football at Elon University…Davis teamed with Landon Johnson in 2017 and 2017 at linebacker for the Dudley Panthers….Davis is also a former Hairston Middle School Jaguar, where he played for his coach, Spencer Abraham Sr. And Davis suited for another Davis, Steven Davis, while at James B. Dudley High School….

Diamond Monroe, from Ragsdale High School has received an offer this week to play her college basketball at Elon University…Monroe was out and missed most of last season with an ACL injury, but she has rehabbed and she is ready to go for this her upcoming junior year, with the Lady Tigers, at Ragsdale High School…She and Mariah Frazier have been teammates for several seasons and over the years, the two have formed one of the better/stronger one-two guard combos in Guilford County….Looking forward to seeing what Diamond does this upcoming season for Ragsdale…Have seen some of her dribble work on YouTube in the past week, and she seems fit to go and should be full-steam for the Tigers…

Brandon/Bo Bo Wallace(Southeast Guilford HS) will be signing at 8:30am, on November 13, in the media center at Southeast Guilford High School for baseball, and college is To Be Determined…..
