  1. I give a thousand bucks to anyone in guilford who can jump higher than chris hampton lol. Other than cam hayes nobody else even comes close to the overall game of these 2. They are head and shoulders above the rest. Mr hampton that windmill the other day omg son wow

  2. I was there and saw the windmill dunk and mentioned it in my postgame write up…He made it look so easy when he did that dunk and it was like he had done it a thousand times before…We have been plugging him the past 2-3 years and I hope everyone gets a chance to come out and see Chris Hampton and his Northwest Guilford teammates in the HAECO Invitational Tournament….Reiber, Boulton, Thomas, Humphrey, Carson, Ballou, Hartzell, Garris if he is healthy, they are all very talented…

  3. So there’s two girls teams that have 4 state championships between them ….. one coach who’s fighting breast cancer and the other head coach who use to be her assistant… AND THERES NOTHING REPORTED about THAT game??? MAYBE I missed it somewhere…
yeah…seems logical that the boys blowout would be more interesting and news worthy than reporting anything about NG vs NW girls.

  4. Yes people Hampton is worth the price of admission super dynamic both ends with a never ending motor. I don’t think anyone in the triad has more athleticism in any sport. I do appreciate Mr cam Hayes game he is a different type of assassin a smooth floor general.
Other dude I liked last yr was Josh Taylor or Davis from gds but I believe he left went back to ga. His game jumps out at you big time too.

Hey i wont speak fo r andy but i will say the northern nw rivals put beef aside and honored that coach at the game in a big time way. A lot of respect appreciation and love was shown from both sides.

  5. @Bigtime… and that’s what makes high school basketball great. Setting aside a rivalry for a little while and teaching the kids there’s greater things to fight against.
    Well said big time.

  6. I will say that is what it is supposed to be like. But if we want to be realistic and be real hs sports is not like it used to be. Now all individual and showcase scholarship hunting etc. One can even say hs basketball is irrelevant given the money and focus on aau, brand league hoops these days. Frankly the greedy selfish adults are the ones who have messed up all youth sports. So it was good to see some positives during the whole night really. Boys and girls games had some pink on.

  7. Lots of news on the Boys game, but news coming from these two sources and good sources at that:

We had this in honor of Coach Kim Furlough, several days before the girls game was played, and that game was great tribute for Coach Furlough and her battle against cancer…

This what we had here at the site, coming out of the Northern Guilford-Page girls game last Tuesday night, at Page…
**********On a sad and concerning note…No Coach Kim Furlough for the Northern Guilford girls tonight….Coach Furlough was out due to returning complications due to cancer and our thoughts and prayers go out to her and her family, husband John, son Matt and daughter Sammi tonight….We wish and hope she is back on the sidelines soon, but the word is she may have to miss up to two months….Hope and pray she is back much sooner than that and again, we give it up tonight for Coach Furlough and her husband John and children Matt and Sammi…Both children still in college, to my knowledge, with Sammi doing undergraduate work and Matt in grad school…..Coach Furlough definitely missed by all tonight, and we look forward to seeing her return to the sidelines….**********
