Game Report on Northwest Guilford-Holly Springs Boys Basketball:NWG goes to (8-0) with Dean Reiber(27 pts.) and Chris Hampton(15 pts.) paving the way on the road

NORTHWEST GUILFORD 78, HOLLY SPRINGS 43
GAME NOTES:
–Northwest Guilford faced off against Holly Springs High School in the Holiday in the Pines basketball tournament. The Vikings set the tone early defensively and shut down Holly Springs and the pressure would continue the entire game.

Dean Reiber also set the tone offensively early with 12 points within the first 3 minutes of the game. The Vikings would play excellent fundamental basketball in this one boxing out as a team and putting pressure on Holly Springs defensively. The Vikings would go on to win easily 78-43 and advance to the championship game in the tournament.

–Dean Reiber led the Vikings with 27 points. Chris Hampton would add 15 points of his own along with 3 assists and 3 steals. Drew Watkins provided 9 points, 4 rebounds and 2 blocks while Robbie Boulton added 7 points and 5 assists. Jake Kawalec and Connor Ballou added 6 points each hitting 2 3-point shots a piece. Shaq Marsh had 4 points, Josh Humphrey had 3 points and Brandon Thomas had 1 point but was a ball hawk stealing the ball 5 times and having numerous deflections.
