2019 HAECO Invitational Women’s Championship Game

Northwest Guilford won the 44th annual HAECO Invitational with a 52-30 rout of Ragsdale High School. This is the Vikings 8th Championship.

After an even first quarter Ragsdale jumped out to a 6 point lead with 4:23 left in the first half. Then Northwest went on a 12-1 run to end the first half giving the Vikings a 25-20 lead at the half.

In the second half Northwest held Ragsdale to 3 for 25 from the field. Northwest out scored Ragsdale 27-10 in the final half. Megan Harkey stifled the Ragsdale offense with 6 blocks and 11 rebounds in the final 16 minutes.

Reagan Kargo led the Vikings with 17 points and tournament MVP Thalia Carter added 15. Diamond Monroe led the Tigers with 16 points including four 3-point baskets.
