Very good ball movement in this basketball game by the Northwest Guilford girls…The team did things that we stressed in the pregame talk on our radio broadcast….NWG with disruption and distribution…NWG was very disruptive on defense and the Vikings did good job of distributing the ball on offense….Anniston Greene was very active with the basketball and Reagan Kargo might be the top shooter of the new decade for Northwest….She shot the ball extremely well tonight/Friday, and Reagan Kargo has to have one of the top shooting percentages in the state, for girls or boys…She can shoot the lights out with that basketball….Kargo was something like 4-4 for three-point shots and she was 4-4 at the free throw line….Not sure if she missed any shots in this game, and if she did, it was only 1 or 2 missed shots…Kargo could run a basketball shooting range one day, and she would make the perfect shooting instructor…After NWG out-scored Page 19-3 in the third quarter, we had a 5-5 ball game in the fourth and final period and that is to the Pirates’ credit…Shows Page kept playing hard, until the end was in sight….NWG’s leading scorer Reagan Kargo had four made 3’s, while Page’s leading scorer Reagan Maynard had 1 made 3-pointer….As a team, I had NWG with ten made 3’s and again, Page just had the one, by Maynard…If it was NWG with 10 made three’s, that means the Vikings made half of their points, from behind the three-point arc….

NWG girls at Ragsdale next Wednesday and NWG girls at Southeast Guilford next Friday….Attention Viking faithful, Ragsdale and SEG are a combined (29-2) on this season…Ragsdale at (14-2) and Southeast at (15-0)…Busy week, next week for the young ladies from Northwest Guilford High School…If they get through that gauntlet unscathed, they will deserve a medal….NWG for sure on the move, as both of those games are on the road next week…..Gonna be a tough entanglement, let’s see how NWG does in these key battles….
