Game Report on Northwest Guilford-Ragsdale Boys Basketball:Vikings celebrate Senior Night with large win over conference-foe, as seniors Reiber, Hampton, Boulton, Humphrey, Thomas and Marsh all mesh to see Vikes hit 100

NORTHWEST GUILFORD 100, RAGSDALE 69

GAME NOTES:
–Northwest Guilford and Ragsdale faced off in a Wednesday night battle at Northwest on the Vikings’ Senior Night. It proved to be a very joyous occasion as Northwest emerged from a back and forth 1st quarter clash as both teams traded basket for basket until Northwest closed the quarter with a 9-0 run to take a 29-20 lead.

The 2nd quarter would prove to be more of the same as the Vikings would extend their lead to 18 points going into the half.

The 2nd half saw the Vikings extending their lead and ultimately hit the 100-pt. mark with less than a minute left in regulation.

The final margin ended up 100-69 with Northwest victorious.

–Dean Reiber led all scorers with a double-double of 26 points and 12 rebounds to go along with 4 assists and 3 block shots. Christian Hampton finished with a double-double of his own as he tallied 18 points and 10 assists to go along with 8 rebounds. Robbie Boulton added 15 points 7 rebounds and 6 assists while Josh Humphrey chipped in with 11 points and 8 rebounds. Brandon Thomas had 7 points and 5 rebounds, and 3 assists. Shaq Marsh came up huge with 8 points to go along with 4 charges taken.
