++++++++++We finished up over at Southwest Guilford Middle School, and then we circled the block and checked in over Southwest Guilford High School for the Piedmont Triad 3-A Conference Tournament game with the Southwest Guilford Cowboys hosting the Dudley Panthers…++++++++++
**********Final from Round One action of the PTA 3-A Conference Tournament:**********
BOYS
Dudley Panthers 63, Southwest Guilford Cowboys 61
Halftime Score:Dudley 41, Southwest Guilford 35…End of 3rd Q:SWG 52, Dudley 50…Final:Dudley 63, SWG 61…
It looked SWG was going got win this thing and the Dudley Panthers got hot down the stretch again and Franklin Stockton hit at least 3-4 key buckets for the Panthers and there was a period of time, where Stockton literally took over the game for Dudley…Then out of nowhere comes the crucial late game-winning basket and Jeremiah Dickerson was there to stick in it for the Dudley Panthers…
Dudley pulls this one out on the road, and the Panthers will stay on the road with there next opponent being #1 seed Mount Tabor, at the Tom Muse Gym, on the WS Parkland Mustangs’ home court…Dudley survives and advances as the #5 and they will face #1 seeded Mt. Tabor Spartans up next, and who knows this might be the “Week of the Panthers”, better known as “PANTHER TIME”, over on Lincoln Street, on the East Side of Greensboro..
More details on this game, when I get the box score, for Dudley Panthers’ assistant coach Josh Prince…
(Thanks to Coach Josh Prince, that box score is in.)
