  2. from Southwest Guilford Cowboys baseball coach Reid Holmes on his Cowboys’ 4-2 win over Wheatmore, in 11 Innings….

“Our pitchers were outstanding,” Holmes said. “All three pitchers who threw did a great job. They kept us in the ballgame. We struggled a little bit offensively, and I’m not so sure it was what we were doing but that their pitchers were outstanding as well. We’re happy with the week, that’s for sure.”

Easton Morgan picked up the win in four innings, coming on after starter Owen Kincaid pitched three innings and Hunter Whitten threw four innings. The trio combined for 14 strikeouts while limiting Wheatmore to just one hit and one walk.
