Final from “The Ranch”, home of the Southwest Guilford Cowboys and MORE baseball and softball finals on the way…..

Southwest Guilford 3, Grimsley 2
WP:Jacob Shafer/LP:Paddy McGonigal
SWG(3-0)/Grimsley(2-1)
SWG’s Tyler Lloyd hits a solo HR, to right field, in the bottom of the sixth inning and that was the Game-Winner for the SWG Cowboys…
The Cowboys starter, Jacob Shafer pitches a complete-game for SWG, going the distance(7 Innings), while giving up 2 runs on 5 hits with 1 BB/12 K’s….
Losing Pitcher Paddy McGonigal went 1 1/3 innings, giving up the one run on one hit and that was the HR by SWG’s Lloyd, and McGonigal walked none and struck out three Cowboys…..
Grimsley starter Gus Hughes went 4 2/3’s Innings allowing two runs on four hits with 4 BB’s/3 K’s….

Turning points in the game:Obviously the HR by SWG’s Lloyd, and before the bomb to right off of McGonigal, Paddy McGonigal had looked almost unhittable, he was very strong in relief of Gus Hughes, and Paddy just left one up in the strike zone and Lloyd nailed it for the win..

Another key Turning Point was in the 4th Inning, when Grimsley loaded the bases up with O outs and the Whirlies did push across one run and that runner scored on a wild pitch and Grimsley could only capitalize, with the one run, and Shafer bounced back to shutdown the Whirlies after that…..

For Grimsley it was an all right night for the Albrights…Tyler and Griffin combined to go 2-5, with a Double, a BB, an RBI and 2 runs scored…Not a bad night there, all right night from the Albrights and getting it done off a very good pitcher in Jacob Shafer, that is going over All Right…

Game line went:

                   1 2 3 4 5 6 7
Grimsley 0 0 0 1 1 0 0
Southwest Guilford 0 0 0 2 0 1 x
SWG 3-4-2
Grimsley 2-5-2

  1. Where are the level headed leaders in all of this. This virus is no where as bad as the flu and we are acting like the world is ending. Come on people, don’t you remember Mers and Sars was going to wipe out the population and my goodness they disappeared just like this virus will. Look at the back of a bottle of Lysol, this virusis listed and has been around for a long time and we are still surviving. Let’s play these games. STOP THE FREAKING INSANITY!!
