2. Thanks Tim…We need to bring back a 2021 edition of Cassie to Lizzie…Need to get those old EG Wildcats back together again, on the softball diamond….

3. Andy: That would be awesome to watch those 2 again…but Lizzie has hung up the cleats and concentrating on school in Charlotte. I know Kassie is doing great things at Greensboro College and representing Eastern Guilford proudly. With no middle school baseball this spring I have been doing the PA for varsity softball and EG has a star in their freshman catcher Jasmine Mack. I along with Darren Koonce coached Jasmine in MS baseball as a 7th grader in 2019. Had we played MS baseball last year she would have been one of our pitchers and would have caught a lot. She has a cannon for an arm and is one of the best receiving catchers I have ever seen. She reminds me a lot of Lizzie the way she receives and blocks pitches, and she already has 3 home runs. Look for great things from her over the next 3 years.

4. I announced a couple of Greensboro College softball games on the internet earlier this season, and in game one of a doubleheader, Kassie got injured while running to first base…She was scheduled to pitch in game two of the doubleheader, but had to miss that game due to injury…I made sure to mention the Kassie and Lizzy connection a few times during that broadcast….Greensboro College softball has young ladies from Eastern Guilford, Northeast Guilford, Southeast Guilford, Northwest Guilford, Southern Alamance, Ledford and from other local high schools…Always good to look back and see(remember) our players from the past……
