Christian Yelich’s early-season hot streak came to an end on Sunday.
The Milwaukee Brewers star outfielder exited Sunday’s game against the St. Louis Cardinals in the second inning with back soreness, according to Derrick S. Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch:

The 29-year-old entered Sunday’s game slashing .321/.457/.357 with one RBI on nine hits in eight games.
Yelich has had recurring back soreness in recent seasons, including all four of his years with the Brewers. It’s unclear if he’ll miss an extended period of time because of the soreness.
The Brewers are third in the NL Central with a 4-4 record.
