Carly Uhlir Tallies Fourth Double-Double of the Season as Greensboro College Falls to William Peace in USA South East Division

RALEIGH, N.C.—-Carly Uhlir tallied her fourth double-double of the season as Greensboro College dropped a Wednesday evening USA South Athletic Conference (USA South) East Division First Round matchup with William Peace University, 3-1 (25-21, 25-14, 22-25, 25-11).

The Pride outhit the Pacers in the first set, .241 to .172, as the Pride amassed 13 kills in the set compared to the Pacers’ eleven. The first set featured numerous lead changes as the Pride held a lead as large as four points in the set. William Peace rallied to score six of the last nine points in the set to earn the first-set victory.

William Peace only tallied three attack errors in the second set as they hit .312 for the set on the way to a second set victory.

Greensboro rallied in the third set as the Pride only tallied two attack errors in the set on the way to hitting .240 for the set. The Pride grew a lead as large as five points in the set and held off a William Peace three-point rally late in the set to earn the third-set victory.

The Pacers countered in the fourth set, hitting .308 in the set with only three attack errors as the Pacers claimed the fourth set to earn the match victory.

Uhlir hit .237 and tallied eleven kills and 14 digs for her fourth double-double of the season. Hailey Stout tallied nine kills and ten digs while hitting .138. Natalie Rosinski tallied six kills and four blocking assists. Jasmine Youngthunder added seven kills 13 digs while amassing 14 assists, splitting time at setter with Olivia Norris who tallied 17 assists.

The Pride conclude their Spring season 7-7 overall. In a season moved to the Spring from the Fall due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Pride played a conference schedule against USA South East Division opponents with divisional postseason play in the conference. The Pride look forward to returning to a full regular-season this Fall.
