Joe Buck will try his hand as a “Jeopardy” host, with hopes of getting job full-time and “Jeopardy” fans aren’t happy about it

Joe Buck is reportedly auditioning to permanently host ‘Jeopardy!’ and fans aren’t happy

Get ready for more sports on “Jeopardy!” as FOX Sports announcer Joe Buck will reportedly get his chance to serve as guest host on the popular show this summer.

Following the tragic death of host Alex Trebek last November, “Jeopardy!” has been trying out guest hosts while it mulls over its decision to find his permanent replacement.

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has captured the hearts of “Jeopardy!” fans everywhere during his guest-hosting stint on the popular ABC series over the last two weeks. So much so that many wanted Rodgers to take on the gig full-time, including Rodgers himself.

While there was a warm reception for Rodgers’ guest-host stint, which concluded Friday, the same can’t be said for Buck, who has also received his fair share of criticism as a FOX Sports announcer.

The reaction to his guest-host gig, as you might imagine, isn’t pretty with many fans threatening to boycott the show if Buck gets the permanent job.
