Elon Women’s Basketball Welcomes Transfers Ajia James and Bria Harmon

ELON, N.C. — The Elon University women’s basketball team announced the addition of Ajia James and Bria Harmon to the 2021-22 roster on Tuesday, May 25.

“We are thrilled to welcome Bria Harmon and Ajia James to our Elon family,” said head coach Charlotte Smith. “Both Bria and Ajia exemplify what it means to be an Elon student-athlete. They chose Elon for all the right reasons and we believe Bria and Ajia can impact our team as soon as they step foot on campus.”

Ajia James | 6-1 | Forward | Stafford, Va. | Bishop O’Connell (St. Peter’s University)

  • Played in all 28 games for St. Peter’s, making 27 starts
  • 2020-21 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) All-Rookie Team (Unanimous Selection)

  • Helped lead the Peacocks to their best regular-season record since 2008
  • Recorded seven double-doubles and eight 10-plus rebound performances in her freshman campaign
  • Averaged 8.6 points per game and 8.1 rebounds per game, ranking third on the roster in scoring (241 points) in addition to leading the conference in total rebounds (228)
