Hoppers’ hitters:The Hopper homers were the order of the evening….Liover Peguero 3-4/2 HR’s/2 Runs/3 RBI…Matt Frazier 2-4/HR/BB/2 Runs/3 RBI…Nick Gonzales 2-5/HR/2 RBI…The Hoppers got five of their nine runs from their top three spots in the batting order, and they got their other four runs from the bottom three spots in their batting order….Grant Koch 1-4/Double/Run/RBI…LoLo Sanchez 1-3/BB/SB/2 Runs…Matt Gorski 1-4/Run/SB…Fabricio Macias 1-4…(Macias finishes the game batting a team-leading .333.)

A total of four Hopper Homers on the night….Liover Peguero with two, and now with five for the season…Nick Gonzales homered in his first game back with the Hoppers, after being out of the lineup for around six weeks with injury…HR # 3 of the year for Gonzales…Matt Frazier hit his 10th HR of the season, and his was a three-run shot to left field, while Peguero hit a solo HR to left, and a two-run HR to left field….Nick Gonzales with his solo home run, to right-center field…..

Outstanding effort by the Greensboro Grasshoppers starting and winning pitcher Carmen Mlodzinski(2-2)…”The Magic Man” Mlodzinski goes six innings, giving up one run on two hits, with zero(0) walks and nine very big strikeouts…Wil Dalton, from Greenville, homered off of Mlodzinski in the top of the second inning…Another great performance by Mlodzinski, and gave up NO walks, after the Hoppers pitching staff did the same exact thing on Friday night….Garrett Leonard worked the seventh inning for the Hoppers, and he gave up a home run to Tyler Deardon…Bear Bellomy worked the eighth and ninth innings for the Grasshoppers and he struggled on Saturday night…Bear had troubles in the ninth inning, giving up two runs on no hits, but he walked three Greenville batters…

Players of the Game would have to pitcher Carmen Mlodzinski, shortstop Liover Peguero, and DH Nick Gonzales….Mlodzinski with another great effort on the mound, and Peguero and Gonzales were sure doing their job at the plate…
