Chris Paul is now the oldest player to score 40+ points in a closeout game, as his 41 points, 8 assists, and four rebounds helped eliminate the Los Angeles Clippers and propel the Phoenix Suns to their first NBA Finals since 1993.

Paul, in his first season with the team, has elevated his mostly young teammates and in doing so, has progressed farther in the NBA playoffs than he ever has before with his previous clubs. A 16-year NBA veteran, Paul will now get the chance to add a championship to his already Hall of Fame-caliber career, which has featured multiple All-Star teams and All-NBA nods.

Young stars Devin Booker and Deandre Ayton added 22 points and 16 points, 17 rebounds, respectively.
