Saved the Day/Night:The Hoppers’ Jared Triolo, who came up with the Game-Winning RBI, on a single down the left field line, in the bottom of the 10th Inning…Triolo scored Aaron Shackleford from second base, and Shackleford came across the plate, with the Game-Winning run…Game-Winning RBI for Triolo, and we will put him down as our Player of the Game, as he sent the faithful fans home with a Bonus Baseball victory, on Saturday night/evening…
Triolo with the perfect stroke, and he sent the first pitch he saw from Yeremi Ceballos down the line past the third base bag, and into left field, and Aaron Shackleford was on his way home, with that game-winning run….Bottom of the tenth, and Shackleford began the tenth inning, as the runner at second base, since Shackleford made the last out for the Hoppers, in the bottom of the tenth inning…Minor League Baseball protocol, runner at second base to begin the 10th inning, and it is always the guy who made the last out in the ninth inning for each team, that is the man you will find at second base to begin the extra innings..

Some strange pieces to the game on Saturday night….The Hoppers’ starting pitcher Carmen Mlodzinski, had to leave the game in the top of the fourth inning, and it appeared he had some kind of physical ailment…Mlodzinski was only able to complete 3 2/3 innings of this game, and he was gone and on his to the locker room, with Hoppers’ trainer, Victor Silva…Waiting to hear more on what happened to Mlodzinski…
The Tourists first batter of the game was hit by a pitch from Carmen Mlodzinski…The Hoppers’ first batter of the game, Matt Frazier, was hit by a pitch from the Tourists’ starting pitcher, Brayan De Paula…The Hoppers’ LoLo Sanchez was hit by a pitch from the Tourists’ De Paula in the fourth inning…The Tourists’ C.J. Stubbs was hit in the batting helmet by a pitch from the Hoppers’ Colby Selby in the eighth inning, and Stubbs had to leave the ball game…Then the Tourists’ Carlos Machado was hit by a pitch from the Hoppers’ Austin Roberts, in the top of the tenth inning…The Tourists’ Deury Carrasco had to leave the game, when he injured himself running to first base, in the top of the eighth inning….
The Hoppers’ Austin Roberts worked the ninth and tenth innings, to get the win, and Roberts gave up no runs on no hits, with one walk, and one strikeout…On the night, the Hoppers’ pitching staff walked 10 Asheville Tourists batters and struck out 9 Tourists…You don’t like to see those numbers, with more walks than strikeouts…
The losing pitcher for Asheville, Yeremi Ceballos threw one pitch, and that pitch came to the Hoppers’ Jared Triolo and Triolo sent that ball along the ground down the left field line for the Walk-off Game-Winning RBI…One pitch from Ceballos, and his game was over….RBI number thirty-six on the season for Jared Triolo, and Aaron Shackleford also came up with RBI #36 of 2021, on Saturday night…It was RBI #19 of the year for Liover Peguero…
