There are reportedly 13 NFL teams with over 85% of their players vaccinated against COVID-19, and one Hall of Famer is blasting his former team for not making that cut with less than a week until the opening of training camp.

Former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Michael Irvin roasted his former team at an event in Texas over the weekend for not reaching the vaccine threshold, connecting the lack of vaccinations to a lack of dedication to winning a Super Bowl.

“If you’re not one of them teams (at the threshold), are you really thinking about winning a championship?” Irvin vented, per ESPN.

The exact percentage of vaccinated players on the Cowboys remains unknown, although they are reportedly not one of the teams the Associated Press has pinpointed as being under 50% vaccinated. The Indianapolis Colts and Washington Football team have the lowest vaccination rate, the AP said, while the Carolina Panthers, Denver Broncos, Pittsburgh Steelersvand Miami Dolphins have the highest.

In following safety protocols put in play by the NFL and players’ union last month, unvaccinated players will not be permitted to leave the team hotel or eat meals with teammates. They will also be required to wear masks and maintain social distancing.

The Cowboys will have a testing lab set up at their training camp facility to test unvaccinated players daily and vaccinated players weekly, ESPN reported.

Irvin added that vaccinated players should make an effort to encourage their teammates to do the same, regardless of what team they are on.

“Somebody in that damn locker room (should say), ‘Hey man we’re going have chance, are you vaccinated?'” Irvin said. “Let’s go through this because this could be a two-week healthy dude missing games and in this league, this ain’t the NBA. In this league that could be it for you. The right person misses two weeks that’s it. Your a– is out.”
