Nick Gonzales with his home runs #8 and #9 on Sunday, and his RBI total went to 27 RBI on the season, and he had that big Grand Slam home run that put the Greensboro Grasshoppers up 8-4, in the bottom of the sixth inning…I may be off base, but I think Nick Gonzales might have stepped up, and become the team leader today…His stat line was real busy/productive and it read like this:Nick Gonzales 3-3/2 BB’s/Double/2 HR’s/3 Runs/5 RBI’s…He was definitely the team leader today, and let’s all hope this is just the start of BIG things to come, for Nick Gonzales…

The Hoppers got hit by the injury bug on Sunday, with Jared Triolo straining something while running to first base, and Liover Peguero experiencing dizzy spells and he went MIA on Sunday…He had to be helped back to the training room…Matt Gorski strained something a couple of nights ago, and on Saturday night, Chase Murray had to leave the game, as he injured his arm going up for a catch in right field, and his arm hit the top of the outfield fence, and Murray had to leave the game, and did not return on Sunday…

The Hoopers’ pitchers, Michell Miliano, J.C. Flowers, and Colin Selby, went a collective 0-3, with all three going down on strikes, as they batted in Liover Peguero’s spot in the batting order….Flowers hit .323, with 16 HR and 53 RBI, as an outfielder, his last year at Florida State…
