  1. That JV scoreline is not a surprise. Most of Page’s talent is moved up and it will take time for the JV to get back to full strength.

  2. It surely won’t take 10 years but good try. Good thing every team will fall off after this season.

  3. @pager

We will find out tonight! New definition of “competitive” on Alma Pinnix!! 42-0 pantha time!

  4. The Pirates are looking better compared to last year, and its still going to take some time to get to where they were a few years ago.

They will be “more competitive” compared to last year, is what I was implying.

Page has one of the toughest nonconference schedules in the state. According to Simmonsratings.com Dudley is #1 in 3A, Reidsville is #1 in 2A (defending state champs), and Tabor is #9 in 4A (defending 3AA state champs). It’s a 3 game gauntlet, might they go 0-3? the probability is favorable. But they will be “more competitive” compared to last season, we think so, yeah. Its year 2 under Coach Robertson and the young Pirates have responded and the programs culture is back on the rise.

I’m not saying Page is going to win every game or won’t lose by 21 at all, because it could happen against a number of solid teams on the schedule including Grimsley. But, things are already looking up and the trajectory is the sky. Page will be back in the upper echelon of 4A soon enough. Talent will always grow up in this district, and keep in mind a district that is still growing, with the addition of the I-840 urban loop which has 2 exits in the district lines. It just takes the right coach to get the kids going.
