HIGH POINT, N.C. – The High Point University Women’s soccer team dropped a close one to ECU 2-1 on a hot Sunday afternoon (Aug. 29). The Panthers’ one goal of the day came off of ECU’s own goal. The Panthers have their longest break of the season as HPU doesn’t return to action until next Sunday for a non-conference clash against Tennessee in Knoxville.

Brandi Fontaine: Today was another tough game felt like we had another great opportunity. It was very similar to the Wilmington game when we had a great opportunity. We are just not finding the back of the net and still have a lot to learn we are still making some of the same mistakes we have been. This week we will focus on them again and try to get ready for another quality opponent in Tennessee.
