Ed Phillips who did the PA/Public Address work for the Page Pirates for nearly three decades passed away today at the Friends Home in Greensboro, N.C.
Ed Phillips did the public address announcing for Page High School football and basketball nearly three decades…He was around for what seemed like forever at Page High School, and now he is gone…He died on Thursday, at the Friends Home of Greensboro, and he was somewhere around 80 years old..
He was at Page, back in the Marion Kirby and Mac Morris days…Many feel like he was the heart of Page athletics, and Ed Phillips was a Pirate for life….
More info on the way…..
