Dudley(2-0) at Durham Hillside(1-1)
Dudley wins this matchup 7-out-of-10 times, and I would think Dudley would be ready to win it again, especially since the Panthers are now the #1 ranked 3-A team in the state…Dudley was missing Mehki Wall in the second half of last Friday night’s game at SEG, but R.J. Baker was doing his thing as a playmaker, and Jahmier Slade threw for two TD’s and ran for another…Dudley’s defense is primed again, and the Panthers’ big offensive and defensive lines tend to wear down the Panthers’ opponents…

Northern Guilford(2-0) at Western Alamance(0-1) 7pm
Jack Mercer with 6 TD passes and 202 yards for NG last week, in the Nighthawks rout of the Smith Golden Eagles…This week the opposition will be much tougher, and look for the ‘Hawks to win, but it won’t be easy…RB Jordan McGinnis, QB Mercer, WR Terrell Timmons, WR Manny Elliot, and other NG Nighthawks will have to get this team going…

Smith(1-1) at Southeast Guilford(0-1)
SEG needs Ryan Stephens back at quarterback….He was injured in the Dudley game last week, while being tackled on a horse-collar tackle…Stephens really gives SEG a great boost with his running skills…The Falcons need him back there at QB, and they also need Cameron Williams to step up even more, as the top SEG athlete on the football team…Alex McCalop is doing his part to help carry the defense…I still do not know a lot about Smith, but from what we hear, their WR Darius Cross, is a legit threat no matter where you line him up at, on the football field…

Southern Guilford(0-1) at Western Guilford(0-0)
SG needs their sophomore QB Jamias Ferere to give them more, and Southern needs Rydell Herbin to be a pain for the other team(WG) on offense at his running back spot, and on defense from his linebacker position…Ferere’s brother, Jameir is a big O-lineman for the SG Storm, and he better be looking out for his little/younger brother….This will be the first game of the season for Coach T, and his WG Hornets, and we will be learning more about those Hornets, on Friday night at Doug Henderson Stadium, and on the Joe Robinson Field…This game can be heard on GreensboroSports Radio, and it will be our Murphy Wainer Orthopedics High School Football Game of the Week…We’ll have the pregame for you at around 6:50pm, and then the SayYes Guilford Kickoff will coming your way at 7:30pm, on GreensboroSports Radio…Click In by way of Firefox to get on the stream in the best and easiest fashion…Friday Night High School Football, on GreensboroSports Radio…

Northwest Guilford(1-1) at WS Reynolds(1-0)
Four TD passes last week, and one rushing TD for NWG QB Tanner Ballou, but the young QB might find the going much harder this week vs. WS Reynolds…Ballou threw to Bristol Carter(2 TD receptions), to Trent Cloud(1 TD), and Cloud seems to be his most reliable and his primary key down/big down receiver, plus Ballou hit Jake Sowards with a touchdown pass…Look for Ballou and Cloud to connect many times this season, and look for NWG to get running the ball again this week with Xavier Simmons at running back…NWG needs to stick with this formula of having Simmons being their pounding RB…I think a player like Simmons relishes this challenge, and it will be huge for NWG if they can develop this pattern of Simmons being the bruising runner, as this will really help NWG going into their big conference games later in the season…With Walt Turner front, run behind him, and the grass could get really green for you…Reynolds will be a tough team, and NWG must match the toughness that WSR brings to the field…

Morehead(0-2) at Northeast Guilford(0-1)
I have little if any info on the NEG Rams, I just hope the Rams can get the win, because this is one of those games that they have the chance to win…

Oak Grove(1-1) at Ragsdale(1-0)
Ragsdale is facing a very strong Oak Grove Grizzlies team, and the Grizzlies laid a loss on Southwest Guilford in Week One, and now they get a shot at the Ragsdale Tigers…Still don’t know much about the RHS Tigers, but we should know more soon…Dave Polaski and the 600 WSJS broadcast team will be at this game..
