Pinecrest is actually 3-0: wins over Rolesville, Anson and Middle Creek. Whirlies are going to have to play a lot better than they did at Reagan to get the win. If they do, expect them to be 10-0 heading into the playoffs (if all 10 games are played). Northern, Southeast and Southwest are all good additions to the Metro, but none of them are going to beat Grimsley, and neither is Northwest. Going to be dogfight for second place, though.
When will Travis Shaw be back on the field for the Whirlies?
Pinecrest sounds pretty good, and they are (3-0), but the three teams that they have beaten are a combined (2-7)…
Been hearing Travis Shaw is week-to-week, but maybe we will see him return for Grimsley’s first Metro 4-A Conference game…
Got to think he is in talks with North Carolina about his return too…North Carolina could have used him last Friday night, since Grimsley was off(Big loss by the Heels to Virginia Tech)..He(Travis Shaw) sort of reminds me of that big #99 for the Georgia Bulldogs, their top defensive lineman, and we saw Georgia take down Clemson, back on Saturday night…..
