Northern Guilford is happy to announce the hiring of long time baseball assistant coach, Brad Poe as the new head baseball coach at Northern Guilford High School.
Brad has been on staff since 2015 and has been an intrical part of the successful program over the last 6 seasons.

Sort of like back when Cal Ripken Sr. was Earl Weaver’s third base coach for the Baltimore Orioles and then when Earl stepped down, Cal Ripken Sr. took over and started running the team…Similar deal with Danny Murtaugh and Bill Virdon back in the day, with the Pittsburgh Pirates, Danny steps down and Bill takes over as the manager…Same story back in the day with Tommy Lasorda coaching third, and Walter Alston managing the LA Dodgers…Walt leaves and Tommy steps up…Landon Kimrey stepped away, at Northern Guilford, and the man waiting in the wings, Brad Poe, is ready to move up and become the head coach for the Northern Guilford Nighthawks baseball team…
Just like Cal Sr., Bill, and Tommy before him, Brad Poe is ready to go….
