Here is what the high school football schedule looks like for this upcoming Friday night, which will be the last week of the regular season, and the last games of the season, for many of our teams….No school today and tomorrow/Monday and Tuesday, for our Guilford County Schools, and not sure how that will affect the practice schedules for this week’s games…..Some may go with practice in the morning, and some in the afternoon…If they go in the morning they may have to go at around 7am, since this still is a teacher’s workday for Monday and Tuesday….
Grimsley(9-0/6-0) at Northern Guilford(9-0/6-0)
Both teams, regardless of the outcome, will be on their way to the 4-A playoffs….Winner will be the #1 seed from the conference, and the losing team will go in as the #2 seed from the Metro 4-A…
Dudley(8-1/6-0) at Eastern Guilford(7-1/6-0)
Both teams looking to advance to the 3-A playoffs, as the #1 and #2 seeds from their conference…
Page(4-5/4-2) at Southeast Guilford(6-3/4-2)
Winner looks to be heading into the playoffs at the #3 Seed Wildcard team from the conference…Losing team, season looks to be over.
Northwest Guilford(4-5/2-4) at Southwest Guilford(4-5/1-4)
Both teams fighting for bragging rights over around the Highway 68 corridor, and no playoffs for this year/season….
Ragsdale(1-8/0-5) at Western Guilford(1-7/0-6)
The winner of this game will get out of the Metro 4-A Conference cellar…Season complete, when this game is complete, and that is the case for both teams..
Northeast Guilford(1-8/1-5) at Smith(3-6/2-4)
Their seasons are done, when this game is done/finished…
Southern Guilford(3-6/2-4) at High Point Central(4-5/3-3)
High Point Central is playing to reach that .500 mark, and SG wants to make sure that they don’t get there…Season done, when this game is completed on Friday night…
High Point Andrews(1-7/0-5) at Walkertown(5-4/3-2)
High Point Andrews would love to close out their year with a big road win…The Walkertown coach, Coach Rodney McCoy, took the High Point Andrews Red Raiders to the State 2-AA Championship around 6 years ago, but he will be trying to get Walkertown on into the postseason, with a win in this ballgame…
