Steak n Shake High School Football Players of the Week for the 10/22/21 games

Looking for this week’s Steak n Shake Players of the Week, on offense and defense, and it does get real interesting as the season moves on along…If a player has won previously, he can’t win again, but all of the Weekly Winners will vie for the 2021 Offensive and Defensive players of the year, once this current season is complete….You can cast your vote down in the Comment Box, located at the bottom of this post, or you can send the name of your choice(s) for this week to andy@greensborosports.com….Jahmier Slade and Mehki Wall, from Dudley High School, are two very strong candidates on offense this week….The same can be said on offense for Grimsley’s kicker, Colin Prago….And what about the RB from EG, Jaiden Evans…Evans with 257 yard rushing on 30 carries and we have some pretty good defensive numbers in here too, this week…Time to make your pick…We will close the voting on Friday at 12 Noon…We have also given you some of the updated stats for the season, on several of our leaders for 2021….

Grimsley:
Running back Jeiel Melton had 23 carries for 206 yards and 4 TD’s for the Whirlies and he also had 3 receptions for 29 yards…Melton 147 carries for the season, with 1,028 yards, and 12 TD’s on the ground….
Quarterback Alonza Barnett was 12-of-15 passing, for 236 yards and a touchdown, plus he had 7 carries for 57 yards and 2 TD’s on the ground…Barnett on the season with 2,121 passing yards on 127-200 passing, with 28 TD’s/2 INT’s…Running he goes 64 carries for 442 yards and 8 more TD’s…2,563 total yards and 36 TD’s…
The Grimsley kicker Colin Prago was 7-of-7 on PAT kicks he also kicked a field goal…Got anybody ready to show some love for your kicker this week…

QB Larenz Smith was 8-10 passing for 148 yards and 2 TD’s vs. Western Guilford….
QB Jack Mercer was 4-4 for 69 yards and 3 TD’s vs. Western Guilford…Mercer now 104-168 for 1,642 yards, with 30 TD’s/6 INT’s for the season….
RB Jordan McInnis ran the ball 9 times for 68 yards and one TD vs. WG…On the season, McInnis with 981 yards on 118 carries and good for 11 TD’s…
