Friday Night Finish:Dudley Panthers Fast and Furious on Offense and Dudley Dominant on Defense=’s NCHSAA 3-A West Regional Championship

Friday Night Final from James B. Dudley High School, and Tarpley Stadium:Dudley 38, South Point 0

The Dudley Panthers top the South Point Red Raiders for the NCHSAA 3-A West Regional Championship and this game was never close….Dudley jumped on the scoreboard on the very first play of the game, the opening kickoff, as Dudley’s kickoff return man, Mehki Wall, bobbled the football when he took in the opening kickoff of the game, but Wall recovered nicely, and he returned that opening kick, 85 yards for a touchdown, and with the Abdoul Bayor successful PAT kick, Dudley took a 7-0 lead, they would never relinquish, and Dudley was in front to stay, after just 15-20 seconds of game time had elapsed off of the scoreboard clock…

Dudley(14-1) was up to stay, and now Dudley will move on and face the Rampants of Greenville’s J.H. Rose High School(11-4), next Friday night(7pm) in Chapel Hill’s Keenan Stadium, for the NCHSAA 3-A Football Championship….

The Dudley Panthers are going after another football state title…

Dudley QB Jahmier Slade was 6-12 passing for 122 yards and 1 TD…Slade ran the ball 10 times for 68 yards…RJ Baker with 9 carries for 123 yards and 3 TD’s…Michael Shaw with 7 carries for 32 yards and 1 TD…Dudley’s Mehki Wall with a kickoff return of 85 yards for a touchdown, Wall caught an 8-yard pass from Slade for another TD, and Wall intercepted a pass while in punt return formation…A very productive night for Wall, Baker, and the Panthers…

Jhyheem Pittman and Logan Wright each with 11 tackles in the Panthers’ victory over South Point…Jaylan Richmond, Jeremiah Barnes, Austin Lloyd, and Braden McCall, all with five tackles each for the Dudley Panthers…The Dudley front seven on defense was dominant vs. South Point all night long…Dominant, I have heard that word mentioned several times tonight, when people have been talking about the Dudley win over the South Point Red Raiders…
