Reagan held North Forsyth without a field goal for more than half the game to fuel a dominating 60-19 victory in the Vikings’ home gym Friday night. The Raiders won their second game of the week behind relentless defense & balanced scoring, with 12 of their 14 players scoring.

The Vikings went scoreless for more than six minutes at the start of the game and trailed by as many as 15 (21-6) in the middle of the second quarter. The Raiders held North without a field goal for 11 minutes between the two-minute mark before half time and seven minutes left in the game, when Askia Smith hit a drive to cut the Reagan lead to 38-16. The Raiders’ lead at the end was their largest of the game.

Caleb Ellison led Reagan with 11 points, four steals & three assists and freshman guard K.J. Ford matched with 11 points off the bench. Sophomore Cooper Jackson & Colin Nelson led the Raiders with five rebounds each. Smith led North in scoring with 10 & Solomon Grant led all rebounders in the game with nine.

Reagan returns to the court Tuesday night at Carver, then home on Wednesday against North Forsyth before opening Central Piedmont Conference 4A play on Friday at East Forsyth.
