Reagan started slow but found it’s stride behind solid defense to defeat Carver 58-13 on the Yellowjackets’ home floor Tuesday night. Neither team scored until Kaden McKoy’s drive with 4:40 into the game & the visiting Raiders led only 7-2 at the end of the first quarter.

But Caleb Ellison, the game’s leading scorer, scored all of his 14 points in the second period and Reagan limited Carver to only one field goal for the second straight quarter enroute to a 27-4 halftime lead. The Raiders cleared the bench early in the third quarter, held Carver without a FG for the entire period and grew their lead throughout the final half to their largest lead of the game (45) at the final buzzer.

Ellison led all scorers (14 points) and joined Deuce Ford and Jack Leonard with four rebounds each. Quinn Corbin led Reagan with five rebounds and blocked two shots. Carver’s Lovell Johnson led all rebounds with eight and added two baskets for the Yellowjackets.

Reagan returns to the court tomorrow night at home in Pfafftown for a return match against North Forsyth and begins Central Piedmont Conference play Friday at East Forsyth.
