High School Football Saturday Morning Rewind:The Drive that got them to FIVE and let’s see what Joe Sirera says and what others are saying too, about them Dudley Panthers(Check out Team Video)

On the rewind, here are back on the keyboard again for our final Saturday Morning Rewind of the season, and what a way to go out here today…I wish I could have turned these so-called keyboard skills into some piano typing skills, and maybe I would be smacking the ivories on some national stage these days…But here we are in a local library popping the keys, looking out at the morning breeze…If you sneeze you won’t miss this, because we have plenty going on for you, in here inside The Rewind this morning…

The Drive that got them to FIVE…Five Football State Championships now for the Dudley Panthers’ head coach Steven Davis, and that tops both Coach Marion Kirby from Page, and Coach Johnny Roscoe from Northern Guilford, who came away with Four State Titles each…The Drive to FIVE, and boy these Panthers were driven….

We have mentioned a lot of the Dudley players names over the past few weeks, but on that Drive to FIVE, you have to really give it up to Coach Davis and his coaching staff, and let’s give a Shout Out to the guys up front, that got the bus moving, on its way to 69 points on Friday night in Chapel Hill, and that would be the offensive line of Center Jonathan Neal, LT Trevon Humphrey, LG A’mon McManus, RG Todd Hargrove, and RT Darius McLendon…They sometimes go unnoticed, but they were the movers upfront doing the blocking, that got the backs and receivers across the goal line, and into the end zone…Like we said, sometimes they go unnoticed, but we got them into the old spotlight, here this morning…And again, for Coach Davis, he is carrying the banner for Greensboro and Guilford County…..

A little sidebar for us is that Dudley finished the season at (15-1) and Greenville Rose goes out at (11-5), just want to get those numbers in here too, since we seem to have forgotten their final records a few times over the past 14-16 hours…

Now time to push the buttons and flip the switches, as we get ‘The Rewind’ moving forward….

TEACHEY, N.C. — Wallace-Rose Hill High School’s football team has been cleared to play in Saturday’s 2A football state championship game despite multiple positive COVID-19 tests earlier this week.

According a joint statement from the Duplin County Health Department and Duplin County Schools, testing of the Wallace-Rose Hill football team was completed on Friday morning and the team has been cleared to participate in Saturday’s game.
