Game Report on Bishop McGuinness-Richmond County Boys Basketball:Riggs Handy tops Villains with 25 points

Richmond County 87, Bishop 59
Cherokee High School

The Bishop McGuinness Villains took on the Richmond Raiders in the championship of the Holiday On The Hardwood tournament at Cherokee High School. The Raiders are currently ranked #3 in the state at the 4A level and led by 4-star recruit Paul McNeil. The Villains were able to control the pace of the game in the first quarter but the strength and skill of the Raiders proved to be too much. Bishop’s Riggs Handy led the Villains hitting five three-pointers and getting fouled on two other attempts. He poured in 25 total points. Sophomore guard John Campbell added 13 points polishing off a fantastic tournament. Villains John Campbell and Dawson McAlhany brought home all-tournament honors. Bishop hosts new conference foe Millennium Charter on Tuesday night.
