Reagan broke open a close first half with a third-quarter flurry and cruised to a 63-50 win over North Davidson in Pfafftown Wednesday night. The Raiders won for the second straight night, pulling away from the visitors to lead by as many as 23 points before both teams cleared the benches in the fourth quarter.

The Raiders trailed only once (16-15) just before the close of the first period but opened their lead to 11 (30-19) late in the half. The margin grew to 59-36 midway through the final period behind relentless Reagan pressure, which forced North into 25 turnovers.

The Raiders’ Jalil Rogers led all scorers again with 23 points plus five steals, four blocked shots and four assists. Ten of the 13 who played for Reagan scored. Tristen Nunez led North Davidson with 15 points and center Sam Odum added 12 points & a game-high 16 rebounds.

Reagan returns to the court Friday night for a Central Piedmont Conference game at Parkland on the Mustangs’ home floor, named after the grandfather of Raiders’ Head Coach Adam Muse. Legendary former Parkland Head Coach Tom Muse won 500+ games during his long tenure at the school in southern Winston-Salem.
