The NG Nighthawks are getting it done with leadership and direction, and it comes in the form of Coach Kim Furlough…Coach Furlough has a bunch of juniors, sophomores and freshmen and she is leading these kids in the right way…The Nighthawks know each other’s moves and they know how to find each other on the court…The positioning and spacing is phenomenal for such a young team…They play experienced-level basketball and this team is just starting the scratch the surface, on what they could become…Going to take a very flawless night to stop and beat this Nighthawk bunch…Coach Furlough has them playing hard and this is a pure team effort….NG had nine different players score in tonight’s game….It might be a different leading scorer for Northern every night…Going to be interesting to see how far this young team goes….

Leadership and Direction, that is what Coach Darren Corbett is bringing to this team of Grimsley Whirlies…He is very intellectual and is not only a highly credible high school basketball coach, he is also a standard-bearer at the highest level in the classroom…If these Whirlies continue to learn and earn their way on the basketball court under Coach Corbett’s direction and leadership, you have to also feel like they are getting an education about life and academic learning by just being around Coach Corbett…A very good environment to become a better player and person, while serving under Coach Darren Corbett….Young freshman Zacck Wiggins made some smart shots tonight…He had chances to show his STUFF, but he chose not to show his stuff, and instead he went for the sure thing, the lay-in that would be the sure two points….Grimsley’s top six players scored 69 of the team’s 73 points…Jayden Watlington was putting on a clinic tonight, with his cuts and moves in and around the basket….Tyler Albright was stepping out of his usual driving-to-the-basket zone, and he was hitting three’s from the left and right side of the court…Alex Taylor was quietly going for double-digit scoring, with 12 points…Nick Elliot was the first man off of the Whirlie bench, and he responded with 10 points…Coach Corbett is challenging his Whirlies and they continue to get better….Better on Friday night, than they were back on Tuesday night…Leadership and Direction, Coach Corbett is bringing it, and his Whirlies are slinging it….
