HIGH POINT, N.C. — The High Point University men’s basketball team dropped a mid-week game against Gardner-Webb 65-57 on Wednesday night in the Qubein Center. John-Michael Wright led the Panthers in scoring on the night with 23 points. Jaden House finished the night with 14 points.

GG Smith: “I thought this game was a tale of two halves obviously, we got the best of them in the first half but they got the best of us in the second half. I give Coach Craft credit his group has been around for a long time, they really showed their maturity in the second half and we showed our immaturity in the second half. I thought the first four minutes of the second half were the biggest difference. They cut it to two at the first media timeout in the second half and made it a ballgame.”
