Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. is believed to have torn his left ACL during Sunday’s Super Bowl victory over the Cincinnati Bengals, sources told NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

Beckham sustained the injury on a non-contact play during the second quarter on Sunday, cutting short what was shaping up to be a standout performance for the veteran WR, who had two catches for 52 yards and a touchdown before going down. He was listed as questionable to return at halftime but downgraded to out by the tail end of the third quarter.

The injury, and the time it will take to recover, make Beckham’s future hard to predict. He is set to become an unrestricted free agent, capping off the half-season he played in Los Angeles since being acquired from the Cleveland Browns. This is Beckham’s second ACL injury in recent years, having been sidelined with the same injury in 2020 while still playing for Cleveland.

While he was slow to get going upon arriving in Southern California, the 29-year-old came alive in the playoffs with 19 catches on 23 targets for 236 yards and one touchdown over three games in addition to what he contributed in the first half of the Super Bowl.
