Jalen Seegars, from Greensboro, where he attended Page High School, before finishing his high school basketball career at High Point Christian Academy…

We remember him as “Smiley”, as his friends called him, that due to the big smile on his face…Always seemed like a happy kid, and real good kid, that Jalen Seegars…Playing some real good college basketball now, for the Fayetteville State University Broncos…

Jalen is averaging 16.1 points per game, as a 6’5 senior guard for the FSU Broncos…

Seegars had 20 points last night in Fayetteville State’s 72-60 win over Virginia State, in the quarterfinals of the CIAA Basketball Tournament in Baltimore, Maryland….Jalen was named the Player of the Game for his efforts…

Great to see Smiley still getting the job done on the college basketball circuit…He was at UNC-Asheville before landing at FSU…

Jalen Seegars is joined on the basketball team at Fayetteville State by several local former Greensboro-area players, including Josh Wiggins from Wesleyan Christian Academy, Isaiah Ray from Dudley HS and Wesleyan Christian Academy, Jacob Crutchfield from Southeast Guilford High School and Ben L.
