IronBirds' line:7- 9-0

Hoppers now (1-4) in this week’s series vs. the Aberdeen IronBirds…The Saturday night win comes in the bottom of the 10th inning, when the Hoppers’ Jack Herman drives a base hit through the infield and on the ground into right field, scoring Henry Davis from second base, and walks off with the extra-inning Walk-off victory, over the IronBirds…Jack Herman the offensive hero, and Francisco Acuna, the defensive hero of the game…

Herman with the walk-off game-winner, and Acuna made a spectacular play at second base on defense in the top of the 10th inning…The Birds’ Billy Cook was on at first base, after drawing a walk, and with one out, Aberdeen’s Conner Norby hit a ground ball to second baseman Acuna, who had moved from SS to 2B after the Hoppers’ starting second baseman, Yoyner Fajardo was ejected for throwing his batting helmet to the ground after being called out on a very close call at first base….

Acuna in there for Fajardo at second, and the ground ball from Norby finds him, and Acuna goes down to the ground to field Norby’s ground ball, and Cook is coming from first base toward second and runs into Acuna, as Acuna is tagging Cook out, and Acuna is on the ground, on the seat of his pants, and he makes the throw in time to first base, to get Norby….Acuna with the tag-’em-out, throw-’em-out Double Play, and just a spectacular defensive play…

Some kind of play by Acuna, and some kind of Walk-off hit by Jack Herman, and the Hoppers top the IronBirds, 8-7, in 10 Innings….

Four homers from the Hoppers in the game, and four homers from the IronBirds in the game…Hopper homers, Henry Davis, Sammy Siani, Eli Wilson, and Yoyner Fajardo…IronBird homers from Conner Norby(2), Cesar Prieto, and John Rhodes…

Conner Norby, the local product from East Forsyth High School in Kernersville, went 3-5/BB/2 HR’s/3 Runs/3 RBI for Aberdeen…For the Hoppers Jack Herman was 2-4/BB/Run/2 RBI…Sammy Siani was 2-4/HR/Run/3 RBI….Hudson Head 2-4/Run…Henry Davis 2-5/HR/3 Runs/RBI…Yoyner Fajardo went 2-5/HR/Run/RBI
