Ron Hunt who starred at Southern Guilford High School, and then went on to have a great career with the N.C. A&T Aggies, has signed an Undrafted Free Agent contract with the New York Jets.

An HBCU alumni, Ron Hunt shined at the HBCU Combine this year after a successful career at North Carolina A&T. Hunt stands at 6-foot-1, 186 pounds, and reportedly ran a 4.34 40-yard dash in college.
The Greensboro native possesses an intriguing blend of size and speed and will look to carve out a role with the Jets this summer. This is the third reported wide receiver the Jets have signed post-draft along with Irvin Charles and Keshunn Abram.

Though they were not fortunate enough to be taken during the seven-round NFL draft over the last three days, multiple HBCU football players were able to get invitations and ink free-agent deals.

Zonovan Knight, RB, NC State
Nicknamed “Bam,” Zonovan Knight was NC State’s leading rusher in each of the last three seasons. Knight turned 21-years-old just a couple of weeks before the draft and prides himself on his explosiveness and agility.
Knight also has ample experience as a kick returner and was named first-team All-ACC in 2021 as a return man. At 5-foot-10, 209 pounds, Knight is a work in progress when it comes to his ball security, blocking, and receiving skills, but he has a chance to stick as a rotational back.
His age and ability to cut on a dime make this a high-upside addition.
