The start of the winner-take-all Game Three between Texas and East Carolina in the Greenville Super Regional was delayed until after 5 p.m. due to a lightning delay at Clark-LeClair Stadium.

The teams played part of the first inning with Texas pounding home four quick runs before yet another lightning delay began at 5:30.

On the line is a trip to Omaha, Neb., for the College World Series, which would be a first-ever CWS appearance for the Pirates.
