Eli Hopkins, former Caldwell Academy student/athlete ( c/o 21 ), currently at Coker College, is playing summer baseball in the Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League with the Royal Oak Leprechauns, Royal Oaks, Michigan.

Honorable Mention for Great Lakes league player of the week for week one (1 ).

He is leading the league with a .500 batting average ( 9-for-18 ), with 5 RBI’s, 2 doubles, & 4 runs scored. Also leads the league with 9 hits.

Batting .625 with runners in scoring position, with 5 RBI’s on 8 AB’s

Batting .615 with runners on base…

Reached base in 5 consecutive games, while drawing 3 walks in the opening week.

Currently listed as being 38th in the country according to the National Alliance of College Summer Baseball, which includes the 12 major collegiate leagues across the country, including Cape Cod, Florida & California leagues among others.
