East head coach is entering his 11th season as the head coach at Kinston High where he has compiled a career record of 226 – 63 in 10 seasons and his teams have won 9 conference regular season titles and 9 conference tournament titles and made 11 state playoff appearances…named All-District Coach of the Year and 8 times named Conference Coach of the Year…born in Kinston, NC…1986 graduate of Kinston High where he competed in basketball, football, baseball, and track and field…says “I’m honored to coach in the NCCA East-West game. I give God all the glory and praise. I’m proud to be selected from the small town of Kinston, NC, but I’m even prouder for my past and current players who have given so much to make this program a success. Thanks to my administration, parents, and the Kinston community for giving the Kinston girls’ basketball program so much support and also for sharing with me all the young ladies I’ve had the chance to coach and mentor. I would also like to thank my wife, son, and family for pushing me. Thanks to all my assistant coaches past and present for your hard work. Adrienne Gale
East assistant coach is entering her 22nd season as the head coach at Ashley High where she has compiled a career record of 329 – 234 in 21 seasons and her teams have won 7 conference regular season titles, 3 conference tournament titles, and made 16 state playoff appearances, including reaching the Final Four in 2021…named the 2010 Mideastern Coach of the Year…coached the 2021 National Gatorade Player of the Year and 2022 National Champion, Saniya Rivers…previously served as the head JV women’s basketball coach and as the softball coach at Laney High…also started the men’s and women’s cross country, women’s basketball, and women’s lacrosse programs at Ashley High…posted an 86-24 record and won a conference championship as the lacrosse coach…born in Woodbury, NJ…1993 graduate of Washington Township High (NJ) where she played basketball, softball and was named the 1993 Unsung Hero of South Jersey in field hockey….1998 graduate of UNC Wilmington…says “I am super excited to coach these talented young student athletes. It’s an honor to coach in this event for the state of NC. I can’t wait to give my energy and passion for basketball to these great players and this special event.”

West Women
Brad Mangum
West head coach is entering his first season as an assistant men’s basketball coach at Maiden High…previously served as the head women’s coach at North Lincoln High …has compiled a career record of 124 – 122 in 10 seasons and his teams have won 3 conference regular season titles, 1 conference tournament title, and made 5 state playoff appearances…4 times named Conference Coach of the Year…named 2013-2014 NCBCA District 11 Coach of the Year…also coaches women’s golf… previously served as the head coach at West Caldwell High, as an assistant women’s basketball coach and men’s JV head coach/varsity assistant basketball coach at South Caldwell High, as the women’s head basketball coach at Fred T. Foard High, and as the women’s head golf coach and women’s head basketball coach at Alexander Central High…also previously served as an assistant women’s basketball coach at Lenoir-Rhyne University…born in Granit Falls, NC…2001 graduate of South Caldwell High where he played soccer, JV basketball, and was 3-times named All-Conference and team MVP in golf…2010 graduate of Appalachian State University…says “It is an honor to be selected to be the head coach of the West All-Stars. I would like to thank Phil Weaver and the NCCA for this opportunity. I have been blessed in my coaching career to have had two former players play in this game, Madi Suddreth and Abby Cook. Frank McNeil
West assistant coach is entering his 13th season as the head basketball coach at Dudley High where he has compiled a career record of 218 – 90 in 12 seasons and his teams have won 8 conference regular season titles, 7 conference tournament titles, and made 11 state playoff appearances…3-times named Conference Coach of the Year…born in Greensboro, NC…1996 graduate of Ragsdale High where he played basketball…2000 graduate of Western Carolina…earned his Master of Divinity from Liberty University in 2021…says “It is truly an honor to be selected to coach in this all-star event and help coach some of the best female athletes that the state of North Carolina has to offer.”

East Men
Larry Williford
East head coach is entering his 23rd season as the head coach at Farmville Central High where he has compiled a career record of 400 – 143 in 22 seasons and his teams have won 14 conference titles and made 22 state playoff appearances, including winning 4 state championships…9-times named Conference Coach of the Year…named the 2016 AP North Carolina Coach of the Year, the 2020 NC Basketball Coaches Association Coach of the Year, and the 2021 NCHSAA Harvey Reid Male Coach of the Year…previously served as an assistant coach at East Carolina University before coaching at Farmville Central High…also previously served as the men’s tennis coach and currently also serves as the Athletic Director at Farmville Central High…born in Fayetteville, NC…1992 graduate of Douglas Byrd High where he played basketball and was the recipient of the Coaches Award in 1992…1997 graduate of Fayetteville State University…earned his M. Ed in Athletic Administration in 2000…says “It is an honor to be able to coach some of North Carolina’s best. My selection is a by-product of all the players who I have coached through the years and our amazing basketball coaching staff at Farmville Central.”

East assistant coach is entering is 6th season as the head coach at Millbrook High where he has compiled a career record of 106 – 28 in 5 seasons and his teams have won 3 conference regular season titles and made 4 state playoff appearances, including winning the 2021 state championship…3-times named Conference Coach of the Year…2017 Homer Thompson Eight that Make a Difference recipient…2019 Maxpreps Finalist for National Coach of the Year…named 2019 NCBCA District 5 Coach of the Year…previously served as the head coach at Leesville Road Middle School and assistant coach at Leesville Road High and then as the associate head coach at Millbrook High…also coaches women’s tennis at Millbrook and was named 2021 Conference Coach of the Year…born in Raleigh, NC…1990 graduate of Enloe High where he competed in wrestling…1995 graduate of NC State University…says “I consider myself a blessed and lucky man to have been chosen as a coach for this year’s NCCA all-star game. It has been a dream of mine to follow in the footsteps of my mentors Scott McInnis and Reggie Peace and, like them, to have this opportunity. My time as a coach has been great and this honor is icing on a pretty special cake for me and my family.”

Andy Muse

West head coach is entering his 30th year as the head coach at Mount Tabor High where he has compiled a career record of 558 -249 in 29 years and his teams have won 10 conference regular season titles, 6 conference tournament titles, and made 27 state playoff appearances, including twice making the Final Four and winning the state championship in 2009…twice named NCBCA Coach of the Year…has worked 17 years with the National Basketball Players Association Top 100 Camp, 24 years with the Bob Gibbons All-star Sports – Tournament of Champions as the Event Director/Player Evaluator …coached in the 2011 Jordan Brand NC All-Star Game…previously served as an assistant to Tom Muse at Parkland High and Dick Jamback at Mount Tabor High…born in Winston-Salem, NC…1983 graduate of North Forsyth High he played soccer and was named All-Conference in wrestling…1988 graduate of Appalachian State University… says “This is a great honor to coach in the NCCA East-West all-star game. I’m very humbled to get the opportunity to coach in a game in which my dad (Tom Muse – Parkland High) and my brother (Mike Muse – East Forsyth High) both coached. This is a recognition and a big statement for Mount Tabor High School. Mount Tabor’s administration, teachers, coaching staff over the years, my family, and most of all our players have been a huge impact on our basketball program and my success. I have been very blessed with people over the years that have helped put our school and me in opportunities like this prestigious game. It is also a great opportunity to work with one of the best coaches in NC, Duane Lewis from North Mecklenburg High School. We both look forward to working with a great group of young men during this event.”

Duane Lewis
West assistant coach is entering his 24th season as the head coach at North Mecklenburg High where he has compiled a career record of 476 – 154 in 23 seasons and his teams have won 9 conference regular season titles, 9 conference tournament titles, and made 21 state playoff appearances, including winning state championships in 2005 and 2020…twice named Observer Coach of the Year…named 2005 AP State Coach of the Year…won Conference Coach of the Year and Lake Norman Area Coach of the Year multiple times…previously served as the JV men’s basketball head coach and as a varsity assistant baseball coach…served as the men’s tennis head coach, winning a conference title, and as a men’s soccer assistant coach…currently also coaches men’s and women’s golf…born in Charlotte, NC…graduate of North Mecklenburg High…graduate of Southern Western University where he was named team captain and Coal Classic All-Tournament in basketball…says “This is a great honor to get selected to coach in the all-star game. Getting the opportunity to coach in the game that my mentor Leroy Holden coached in, my daughter Lauren Lewis Galvani (2010) played in, and 2 of my good friends, Eric Davis and Andy Muse, have / are coaching in is a privilege. I have been blessed to have had multiple players in this game, but also to have had to pleasure of coaching so many great student-athletes at North Mecklenburg over the last 25 years. They are the ones who have paved the path for me to get this opportunity , and I am grateful to them.”
